SECURITY DEPOSIT IN AYUSH COUNSELLING : AMOUNT & REFUND RULE
Security Deposit in AYUSH Counselling : Amount and Refund Rules
Have you ever wondered why some students get their admission cancelled despite getting a seat? Or why they don't get a refund? The answer to all these lies in the process and terms of the security deposit. If you don't deposit it on time or don't report after getting the allotment, your deposit may be confiscated.
In this blog, we will understand in detail:
- Who has to pay how much deposit?
- What is the submission process and deadline?
- How to get refund?
- Under what conditions does forfeiture occur?
- And which students get special discounts or support?
What is the amount of security deposit?
The amount of deposit is decided by AAACC every year before counselling , depending on the quota selected by the candidate. This amount validates your participation in counselling and reflects your commitment to the seat allotment process.
- Government Quota Seat Only: ₹10,000/-
- Deemed University Quota Seat: ₹50,000/-
Which candidates have to pay how much amount?
This decision is based on your choice filling as to what type of seats you are applying for. Many students deposit the wrong amount by mistake, due to which they have to face problems.
- For Government colleges only: ₹10,000/-
- If Deemed Universities are also selected: ₹50,000/-
- Same amount applies to all categories(General/OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwD)
What is the process for making a deposit?
Submitting the deposit is a completely online process and is done through the counselling portal. Candidates must ensure that they deposit the amount within the deadline and as per the correct quota.
- Login to AACCC Portal
- Make online payment by going to the payment gateway
- Download the receipt and keep it safe
By when does the deposit have to be made?
Every counselling round has a specific deadline by which the deposit must be made. If you do not make the deposit on time, your choices are considered invalid and allotment will not be made.
- Payment is mandatory along with choice filling
- Submit before the deadline
- Avoid the final day rush
Is the security deposit refundable?
Your deposit is refundable if the correct procedure is followed. This refund is transferred to the bank account provided by you after the counselling is completed.
- If no seat is allotted
- Admission has been confirmed by reporting
- The refund process is completed within 15–30 working days
Under what circumstances can the deposit be forfeited?
If you do not report after seat allotment in the counselling process or refuse to take admission, your deposit may be forfeited. This rule has been implemented to take counselling seriously.
- Not reporting after seat allotment
- Not getting the documents verified
- resign after admission
- Providing fake documents
What are the documents and steps required for refund?
To get refund you have to fill in your bank details on the counselling portal and if there is no allotment, then upload system generated proof.
- Fill in refund bank details on the counselling portal
- No-allotment slip (if no seat is allotted)
- Resignation slip (if left after reporting)
Common mistakes that students make
Many times, due to haste or lack of knowledge, students end up making common but serious mistakes related to deposits, which results in financial loss to them.
- Entering amount for wrong quota
- Depositing ₹50,000 even if you do not choose Deemed quota
- missing the deadline
- Making mistakes in bank details
- non reporting
If I leave counselling, will I get my deposit back?
If you do not participate in any stage of counselling and no seat is allotted, then your deposit is refunded. But if you get a seat and do not report, then the deposit will be forfeited.
- Full refund in case of no allotment
- Allotment + no reporting = no refund
- Eligibility is decided on the basis of participation
Final Tips: Money can be safe only when you have complete information
Security deposit is not just a fee, it is the key to your counselling success. If you complete every step on time then this amount not only remains safe but also gets refunded on time.
- Follow the Counselling calendar
- Understand the Quota correctly
- Read the Refund policy
- Keep the payment receipt safe
